Staying near the CTICC
Four apartments, one of them a few hundred metres from the convention centre. If you are here for a conference, that walk is the only thing that really matters — so this page leads with it, and is straight about which apartments are too far.

The apartments
Which one, and which one not
All four are one-bedroom, one-bathroom, for two people, with a desk and fast fibre. They are not otherwise interchangeable, so each is listed with what it is bad at as well as what it is good at.

Closest to the CTICC6-8 min walk to the CTICCThe conference apartment. A few hundred metres from CTICC 1, which means you walk to the venue in the morning and back at the end of the day without thinking about it.
Good for
Heated indoor pool, gym and a mezzanine café in the building. Desk and fast fibre. Self check-in by lockbox, so a late landing is not a problem.
Not good for
No parking, no air conditioning, no laundry in the apartment. For a three-night conference stay none of that matters; for two weeks in February it would.
Two Twenty Loop Street 301
City centre24-29 min walk to the CTICCThe one to take if you are driving. It has a free parking bay on the premises, which anyone who has tried to park in the Cape Town CBD will recognise as the hard part.
Good for
Free garage bay. Air conditioning and heating. Washer and dryer in the apartment, which is what makes it the pick for a longer stay. City and mountain views.
Not good for
A 24-29 minute walk to the CTICC rather than a 6-8 minute one, and check-in is with the host rather than a lockbox.
The Carrington 703
City centre16-20 min walk to the CTICCThe value option. A 33 m² studio on Loop Street, well placed for the CBD and priced accordingly - the pick if you are paying your own way rather than expensing it.
Good for
Washer and dryer in the apartment. Desk and fibre. Lockbox check-in. Ground-floor restaurant and coffee shop, 24-hour concierge, rooftop residents' deck.
Not good for
No air conditioning or heating, and no parking. It is a studio, so it is compact by design.
One26 on M 803
Sea Point3.3 km from the CTICC — you would drive or rideNot a conference apartment - it is 3.3 km away and you would not walk it. It is the one to stay on in afterwards, when the badge comes off and the Promenade is two minutes from the door.
Good for
Top floor, mountain views, private balcony, rooftop pool. Air conditioning and heating. A safe. The biggest television of the four.
Not good for
Too far from the CTICC to walk, and laundry is paid and in the building rather than in the apartment.
