Hello Cape TownThe RandA Collection

The short version: this site takes no bookings, no payments and no personal details. You can read every page of it without telling us who you are.

What we count

If you allow it, we use Google Analytics to count visits: which pages were opened, roughly which country the visit came from, and what kind of device it was. We use it to see which apartments people actually look at, so we know what to photograph better and what to explain more clearly.

It runs only if you press Allow. If you press No thanks, or ignore the question, no analytics cookie is set. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser, which forgets the answer and asks again.

We do not sell it, share it, or use it to advertise to you. There are no advertising cookies on this site, and no social media trackers.

What Airbnb collects, which is the bigger part

Every booking, payment, message and cancellation happens on Airbnb, not here. When you click through to a listing you are on their site under their terms, and they hold your name, your dates and your card details. We never see a card number. What we see as hosts is what any Airbnb host sees: your first name, your booking, and the messages you send us.

Fonts

The typefaces come from Google Fonts, which means your browser fetches them from Google and Google sees the request. No cookie is set by it.

Where we are

We are in South Africa, so POPIA applies, and if you are reading this from Europe, GDPR does too. Under both you can ask what we hold about you and ask us to delete it. Given the above, the answer is usually that we hold nothing beyond an anonymous count of visits.

Asking us

The RandA Collection, Cape Town. Reach us through the Airbnb listing for whichever apartment you are asking about, which is also the fastest way to reach a real person.
